The World of Forever Skies[]
The world of Forever Skies is set on Earth long after a global ecological disaster has left the planet largely uninhabitable to humans, leaving behind a several-hundred-meter layer of toxic and corrosive gasses on the planet's surface known as The Dust. This, among other things, resulted in the following:
- The world being almost terraformed, leading to unique Biomes throughout the Dust.
- Humanity building upwards, remnants of which you can find at various Locations with their Points of Interest and Objects.
- A wildly unpredictable and volatile environment, which produces extreme Weather and other Hazards.
The Dust[]
The Dust is a several-hundred-meter layer of toxic and corrosive gasses covering Earth's surface, driving humanity to the brink of extinction. The Dust is classified as both a world Biome and a Hazard to the player.
Biome[]
Appearing as almost "sandy waves" covering the planet, the Dust can be found anywhere in the game world as an overarching biome that contains every other biome type, or location. The surface of the planet still exists, however, and can be found within the Underdust.
Hazard[]
After your airship descends below a registered altitude of 220 MaSL, all sections of your ship have a chance to take damage every second until you rise above the threshold. Presently, there does not seem to be a specific section of the ship that takes damage first, and it is instead completely random which section will take damage each second Damge will only be taken by floor of rooms, walls are unaffected. In addition, the high-speed winds produced within the Dust layer are prone to fling Debris many meters higher than the layer itself, which can damage The Airship.
Biomes[]
Biomes are zones in the World with distinct visual and physical properties, as well as potential location spawns. There are currently 3 biome types to be found in the world. They are seperated from different biomes by Walls. Between the Blue and Red one it is The Wall with its giant plants and to the green biome it is always an Energy Wall
Silent City Biome - Blue[]
is the type where the starting area is also located. It has old world structures and almost no big flora. Floating debris is then Synthetic Clusters, Synthetic Conglomerate, Metal Cluster, Energy Container and Floating Silicon.
It contains the following locations (towers):
- Supply Container
- Mural
- Landing Pod crash site
- Communication Point
- Small Town
- Standard Wind Farm
- High Point
- Greenhouse Tower
- Cosmodrome
- Workshop
- Colossal Lifeform Gargantuna Locito
As for the starting Area, it is a unique area in the blue biome and only spawns at the start of the journey, When it despawns due to distance it will not spawn again. It is seperated from the rest of the blue area it is spawned in by big roots. It is basically the tutorial area and contains the following locations:
- Sagitarius Station II. That is where your Pod landed
- Communication Point(s) with the metal colletor and radar wreck
- Ruined Greenhouse Tower where you find the batch crafting for your base parts like Machine Parts
- Standard Wind Farm with the Turbine Wreck
Overgrown Ruins - Red[]
is the second area to visit. It has overgrown old world structures and big plants growing in between. Floating debris is then Synthetic Clusters, Floating Silicon, Energy Container and Organic Matter.
It contains the following locations (towers):
- Supply Container
- Mural
- Landing Pod crash site
- Desolate Tower
- Temporary Camp
- Desolate Turbine
- Command Center
- Infected Gardens
- Wild Habitat
- Descent to the Underdust with its Underdust and Underdust Tunnels
- Luciferin Plants

New Nature - Green[]
is the last area to visit. It has big plants growing around the remanents of the old buildings but mostly replacing them. Floating debris is then Synthetic Clusters, Floating Silicon, Energy Container and Organic Matter.
It contains the following locations (towers):
- Supply Container
- Mural
- Landing Pod crash site
- Ruined Radio Tower
- Overgrown Radio Tower
- Rooftops
- New Nature Territory
- Overgrown Surface Lift with its Underdust Suburbs
- AI Tree Surface Lift with its AI Tree Roots

The Dust is a several-hundred-meter layer of toxic and corrosive gasses covering Earth's surface, driving humanity to the brink of extinction. The Dust is classified as both a world Biome and a Hazard to the player.
The Underdust biome is the one located under The Dust. It contains the Locations reachable from the different Lift Variant Towers:
- Underdust (Reachable from the Descent to the Underdust)
- Underdust Tunnels (a part of the underdust location, but seperated by story elements)
- Underdust Suburbs
- AI Tree Roots
