Acquisition
The Crossbow can only be acquired by crafting it in the Fabricator.
Uses[]
The Crossbow can be used to shoot down plants hanging from the ceiling, to destroy blockades on the doors, ladders and junction boxes, or be used against hostile Fauna, such as Lulling Grass Crickets, Crustpedes, or Thorn Bee Hives.
It can be upgraded in the Upgrade Station to the Upgraded Crossbow.
Recipe Unlock Information[]
With the combat update, the method of acquiring the Crossbow has now changed. It can now be found, along with The Friendly Insect, next to Noah's corpse at the end of the tunnels in The Underdust. Upon picking up the tablet in the Underdust Tunnels or scanning the Wrecked Crossbow, the Crossbow's Research Recipe is unlocked in the Research Station.

Completing the Research Recipe will unlock the Crossbow & Bolts as a Craftable Items in the Fabricator.
