The Airship[]
The Airship is a high-tech version of our known airships or Zeppelins. The Player can build different rooms and utilize them for researching, crafting and accommodation. It's the player's base and vehicle in the World of Forever Skies, and as such, will play a very important role in the game.
For information about building parts, check out the Airship Builder Parts page.
Technical Details of the Airship[]
The Airship is attached to an expandable blimp which is filled with helium. Underneath it, connected with a single link, are the segments which can be built by the player. It is lifted by the Blimp to 235 MASL (meters above the sea level) but can also reach higher altitudes when a Turbine is used. To move it, the player needs to attach at least one Engine to it (each engine gives +15 km/h). If more than one Engine is used, the Airship can reach higher speed.
The Engine uses several sources of Fuel; starting from Synthetic Fuel, Helium Fuel, Biomass Fuel to Energy Crystal Fuel. Where the latter has the most efficiency. There is also an upgraded Version of the Engine which allows higher speed per engine (+30 km/h), a higher max speed of 100 km/h and the extra slot for fuel.
The weather in Forever Skies can be unpredictable and unforgivable. Lightning and other factors will damage parts of the airship, preventing it from functioning correctly.
Cockpit[]
The Cockpit sits in the front of the structure and its biggest remark is the huge angled window in front of the Rudder.
The window lets the player observe what's in front of him. Other than the Rudder, there seems to be nothing else in the Cockpit area. Even a basic Pilot Seat is missing, which causes the player to steer the Airship standing.
Rudder[]
The Rudder is the most important item on the Airship. Without it, the usage of the Airship is not possible. However, the players can move the rudder location and can also pick it up. If it was picked up, the players should not lose it. It has the weight of about three kilograms.
